Mother of pearl, 1.72 grams, 27.47 mm. Circa 10th-11th century AD. A carved bifacial nacre disc pendant with nimbate female figure on one side and bearded, nimbate figure on the other surrounded by the text AON. Very fine condition, complete. Provenance: from an important collection of Christian artefacts formed in the 1970's and 1980's; the property of a City Gentleman.
