Lead, 330 grams; 100.10 x 97.93 mm. A large and heavy Cannon carriage mount or 'Badge' from a Royalist civil war cannon operated by the forces of Charles I. This item was found many years ago by a detectorist on a skirmish site in Nottingham. Large crown with a cross at the top and in centre flanked by two lis. Nice condition and very rare.
