Roman 'Angled' Key Ring
Copper alloy, 7.94 grams; 21.46 mm; internal, 14.24 mm [Size F 1/2; US size 3 ¼; European 4.74]. 4th Century A.D. A Roman finger ring with key shank to fit a casket, it has a short protruding key bit with a single cleft to fit the lock. Very Fine condition. Found Eastern Europe.

STUNNING Roman 'Tumbler Lock' Key
Copper alloy, 20.12 grams; 45.33 mm. Circa 1st - 3rd Century A.D. A large heavy duty key from a tumbler lock with a heavy incised line decoration. The 'bit' has six triangular teeth set upon a large handle decorated with with incised lines and crosses with a ring above for suspension. Ref: Similar examples published in Benet’s Artefacts, Page 215 - 218, Figs. R17-0202 - R17-0213; Celtic and Roman Artefacts, Page 80, Fig. RB237. Extremely Fine condition, a superb example.
