Reverse: +VVSIGEMOVVEREH, around small cross in centre, moneyer Wulfsige at Wareham. Half outer edge missing otherwise extremely fine. A leading Museum expert at the Fitzwilliam Museum writes: The fragment from North Yorkshire is from the same dies as an imitation of the coinage of Æthelstan in Copenhagen (SCBI 4, 705) reading +EERNARTITEIRDOT on the obverse and +VVSIGEMOVVEREH on the reverse (copying a coin of the Wareham moneyer Wulfsige).
