On one side is an Irish harp, which is also on Irish coins of this period. The reverse has the mark of value X d, 8 G, Used to weigh a Dutch silver Half Ducatoon, as until 1709, Irish coin weights were made only for foreign silver coins. With a few exceptions it is easy to tell if an Irish coin-weight was intended to weight a gold or silver coin: Weights for silver coins have the penny-weights part of the weight in Roman numerals, those for gold coins have it in modern style (Arabic) ciphers. Very Fine and Very Rare.~
